Sidewalk Talk is winding down as an organization.

The listening isn’t.

LET’S STAY IN TOUCH

Thank you to the 170 chapters across 110 cities, and the thousands of volunteers around the world, who pulled up a chair and listened.

A note from Traci — Founder of Sidewalk Talk

We’re closing the organization now, but the practice, the podcast, and the materials will carry on.

I have been changed by this work, and by you, in ways I don’t have words for. I can’t quite express the intensity of my gratitude.

If you found your way here, it’s because we made this thing together. I would love for our connection to continue.

Don’t put your chair away just yet.

I have new writing, podcast episodes, playful experiments, and occasional meetups just for Sidewalk Talk alumni to share.

WHAT COMES NEXT

Where I’m headed

The podcast

I’m keeping the podcast archive live, and will be hosting new conversations on Substack called The Great Clopening. Openings that come from endings.

New Writing

I’m currently writing a lot about connection, belonging, and why the people we love can be so hard to stay close to.

Alumni gatherings

I’ll share what I’m making, plus occasional gatherings just for Sidewalk Talk alumni.

SOMETHING NEW

The Mischief Lab

Small, strange experiments in bringing people together. Think story circles, love letters at bus stops, and popsicles for strangers. All the fun of Sidewalk Talk, without trying to turn it into a global operation.

Smaller, stranger, and a lot more play.

I hope this isn’t goodbye.

I’d love to keep sharing what grows from everything we built together: new writing, podcast conversations, playful experiments, and occasional Sidewalk Talk alumni gatherings.
